A story I heard as a little boy from my grandparents : Every hundred years, a comet appears in the skies above the Mushroom Kingdom. That comet was so large one year, it filled the skies and sent countless shooting stars raining down. The toads brought the shooting stars to the castle, where they became a great power star. It should have been a very happy time for the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. That was the night of the Star Festival, held once every hundred years to celebrate the comet.

I like metal. That metal part should have been way heavier, more driven, less of the prog rockiness. I totally expected it in a different style the first thing that comes to mind is a sound similar to the riffs by attack attack from this means war.

I’ve always loved this song, and this version is the best I’ve ever heard. Even with everything going on all around the party, it was always calming and nice to visit Chocobo Bill and Billy. This version almost sounds like “Ashokan farewell“ from the Civil War series. Like somebody’s reading a letter sent home from the war in Wutai.
